Optimum site selection is among the most important issue for the success of aquaculture and need to be carried out in accordance with sustainability and best practice guidelines. Coastal regions in Hormozgan province as a potential area for aquaculture development was investigated. In order to select an optimum site for developing fishery and aquaculture from generally aspects of social-economic, biologic and environmental criteria, the present work focuses on Fuzzy approach. Thus, after data collection, main layers were prepared in GIS and then the layers were standard using Fuzzy membership function and inter layer valuating. Then fuzzy standard layers were integrated using Fuzzy operators. Finally, the result were prepared in form of zoning map. In the method, 4005.88 km area of the study area i.e.14% of total of area is located in very good class. The results indicate Hormozgan state has high potential for aquaculture industry. As a result, central parts of the study area are the most suitable for development of aquaculture industry.
