The augmented reality is a combination of real vision with virtual content at a time that there is an interface to improve the user perception of the real world and help him interact with it. The widespread use of smart phone devices equipped with various sensors such as GPS, gyroscope, camera as well as various access to high-speed wireless networks have made the augmented reality services become increasingly popular in recent years. Most of current augmented reality systems are used in small environments. This is due to several problems in outdoor that develop location-based augmented reality systems. In the development of interactive visualization systems we can all the facilities of the current systems such as GIS, environment modeling, three-dimensional modeling in combination with three-dimensional systems. In this study the implications of the augmented reality and its relationship with GIS, implementation methods, augmented reality tracking and augmented reality frameworks are examined.
